Parents’ Drug Stash Exposed! 25,000 Fentanyl Pills Found Under Child’s Crib

Following the discovery of a bag containing approximately 25,000 fentanyl tablets by investigators hiding beneath their child’s cot, a couple from Northern California is now facing accusations of drug possession and endangering the welfare of their child.

According to a press statement issued by the District Attorney’s Office of Santa Clara County, Octavian Moreno, who is 27 years old, and Krystal Delgado, who is 23 years old, have been charged with three counts of carrying narcotics for sale, one act of child endangerment, and one count of criminal possession of a handgun.

The location of the office is in the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area. A task force operation that involved what the office of the top prosecutor, Jeff Rosen, referred to as the largest seizure of the lethal opioid in the history of the county led to the arrest of the parent.

Tuesday was the day when law enforcement officials carried out the execution of a search warrant at the residence of the family, and on Thursday, the couple was brought before the court to face the felony charges.

A loaded pistol, two digital scales, over $4,000 in cash, and thirteen pounds of marijuana were discovered during the search that was conducted by the Santa Clara County Specialised Enforcement Team. Additionally, the team discovered 1.5 pounds of cocaine. The authorities discovered thirteen pounds of fentanyl in the form of tablets that were packaged in plastic bags, as well as the infant of the couple, who was one year old and playing in his playpen a few feet away from one of the bags of marijuana.

Prosecutors reported that the illegal handgun was discovered in a drawer in the same kitchen that was empty, while the cocaine was discovered in a cabinet in the kitchen near to the baby’s formula.
