Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce burglaries carried out by ‘very sophisticated people in a cartel’ as FBI investigate

According to security specialists, a “sophisticated” criminal organization may have broken into the residences of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.

The Kansas City area saw a wave of robberies that targeted Kelce and Mahomes.

Fox affiliate WDAF-TV in Kansas City is looking into the crimes and discussed the type of break-ins with a security specialist.

“This is a sophisticated operation, it’s not some guy that’s going down to the local pawn shop,” Mike Barbieri, an expert, told WDAF-TV.

The robbery spree seems to be linked to a “highly intelligent” criminal organization, according to WDAF-TV.

This finding follows the discovery of criminals stealing jewelry valued at over $500,000 from another house near Mahomes and Kelce.

Police suspect the robbers are part of a South American criminal organization, sources told WDAF-TV.

“It doesn t surprise me at all that this crime spree that is going across the entire country is designed by some very sophisticated people in somewhat of a cartel,” Barbieri stated.

“If you have a particular individual that s an athlete, a wealthy CEO, you can find out just about anything you need to find out about these people online.”

However, this outburst isn’t limited to the Kansas City Chiefs players and other city dwellers.

Targets in Minneapolis and Milwaukee have included other professional athletes.

One victim of that crime spree was NBA player Bobby Portis, who claimed that thieves stole his valuables.

According to Barbieri, the well-publicized crimes are orchestrated weeks in advance in order to obtain information about the victims.

“Anybody that s had their home worked on recently and then miraculously had it burglarized, you can draw a very interesting conclusion from that,” he stated.

“Some of the people that were on the jobsite may know people in these cartels and may be selling the information.”

The local police force has reaffirmed its dedication to public safety while declining to comment on the ongoing investigations into the robberies.

“Leawood Police Department will not comment on any open investigations,” it stated.

“To resolve unresolved cases, our organization closely collaborates with victims and pursues all investigative leads.

“The Leawood Police Department is dedicated to the public we serve and will work tirelessly to ensure the City of Leawood remains one of the safest cities in the State of Kansas.”

Additionally, Mahomes hasn’t talked much about the break-in at his house, only expressing his frustration.
