Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce involved in FBI probe with Kansas City Chiefs pair at center of ‘larger crime spree’

PATRICK Mahomes and Travis Kelce are at the center of an FBI investigation.

The Kansas City Chiefs pair were both targeted by burglars within hours of each other last month.

And TMZ report that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is now helping Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The report claims that the FBI’s involvement is not due to Mahomes and Kelce’s high-profile nature.

But it’s because the burglaries were part of a “larger crime spree” across the Kansas City region.

The U.S. Sun revealed that Kelce’s first Super Bowl jersey was among the items stolen from his mansion in Leawood, Kansas.

There was also at least $100,000 in jewelry and designer goods taken from both Kelce’s pad and Mahomes’ house in Belton, Missouri.

Mahomes was asked about the robbery by reporters Wednesday.

“Obviously, it’s frustrating,” he said.

“It’s disappointing, but I can’t get into too many details because the investigation is still ongoing.

“Obviously, something that you don’t want to have happen to really anybody, but obviously yourself.”

“That was a massive surprise for all of them, as they really never thought it would happen to them,” a source close to Kelce’s entourage told The U.S. Sun.

“That was a very, very frustrating moment, and both Kelce and Mahomes got really mad it happened, and that intruders got into their properties that they consider their ‘safe-haven’ and ‘safe place’ as they are always under the spotlights and always traveling.

“The Mahomes got really angry as Brittany felt really bad that people got into their privacy, into their private spaces, and felt really bad about it for a bit.

“That really bothered them a lot, especially her, as she always wants her safe space and her family and kids to be in the safest places 24/7, and home is their sanctuary in the middle of the super active life they have.

It’s unclear where Mahomes and Kelce were when the break-ins happened on October 6 and 7.

The Chiefs took on the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium on October 8.

Taylor Swift was also in town for the Monday Night Football clash.

Can Kansas City go undefeated?

The Miami Dolphins are the only team in NFL history to ever go undefeated way back in 1972.

Tom Brady’s New England Patriots went close in 2007 but lost in the Super Bowl to the New York Giants.

If the Kansas City Chiefs can pull off the remarkable feat – they’d also make history as the first team ever to win three straight Super Bowls.

Week 11 against Buffalo represents the toughest challenge left on their schedule.

They also face the Houston Texans in December as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Christmas Day showdown.

“Travis got upset as they stole some important items, including his first Super Bowl jersey, and to have someone get into his private home is something he really got uncomfy about,” the source added.

“[Taylor] felt bad for what happened despite not having many belongings there, but felt bad for her man and for the Mahomes.”

Kelce moved into the Leawood home in November 2023 after splurging $6 million.

He sought extra security and privacy due to the increased media coverage from his relationship with Swift.

Mahomes, meanwhile, purchased land in Belton in 2020 and immediately began constructing his dream home.
