Patrick Mahomes slams brutal schedule with Kansas City Chiefs set for never-before-seen run of games in Super Bowl bid

PATRICK MAHOMES criticized the Kansas City Chiefs’ harsh schedule.

In eleven days, the Super Bowl victors will play three games, including one on Christmas Day.

The Cleveland Brownson will play first on Sunday, followed six days later by a matchup with the Houston Texans.

If that wasn’t enough, on December 25 they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, one of the AFC’s best teams.

Although Mahomes is excited to play on the holiday to make up for the Chiefs’ loss to the Last Vegas Raiders on Christmas, he is worried about the potential physical toll it may have on him.

“All you can do is concentrate on the game and the practice you had that day,” he remarked.

“I strive to customize my exercises, practice, and preparation throughout the year to get my body ready for this stretch. On the practice field, the coaches take excellent care of us.

“They know how to kind of dial it back when we need it, but we practice as hard as everyone else.

It’s not a pleasant sensation. You never want to play this many games in such a short period of time, but I’m eager to play on Christmas in the hopes of recovering from what we did last year.

Simply put, it’s bad for your health. But ultimately, it’s your profession and your work. You must show up for work and do the task.

Three other teams—the Texans, Steelers, and Ravens—also have three games in 11 days, which coach Andy Reid called a “unique” situation.

In agreement with Mahomes, Reid stated: “That is a special circumstance.

“You simply need to control it. It is what it is. You do the best you can. One thing is that you need to prepare the boys for a game by giving them the opportunity to do anything you want of them. So I’m helping them now.

“This week is going to be typical for us. Therefore, we must attend to business.
