People smugglers JAILED after trying to sneak men into the UK crammed in makeshift den underneath pile of dirty tyres
After being captured attempting to smuggle men into the UK while cramped beneath a pile of filthy tires, a pair of despicable people traffickers have been imprisoned for over ten years.
Images depict the filthy conditions the crooks produced in an attempt to conceal four Indian guys in a makeshift den in order to benefit greatly.
When Border Force officials halted them and discovered their hurriedly built conceal in their van and the four migrants, their scheme was foiled.
The two had driven from Belgium. Chris Foster, the Home Office’s lead for Criminal and Financial Investigation, told The Sun that his team is taking tough measures against people smugglers who try to make money by smuggling migrants into the country illegally.
Shafaz Khan and Choudhry Rashied, both British nationals, were found guilty at Isleworth Crown Court earlier this year and were given lengthy prison sentences today.
When Border Force officials apprehended the pair at Newhaven Ferry Port, the Home Office swiftly put an end to their risky plan.

Khan informed the cops that they had used tires in the back of their van and that they were returning from Belgium.
Officers found a number of migrants in filthy and hazardous conditions concealed beneath the big tires without access to clean air when they searched the rear of the van, but they got more than they had anticipated.
CCTV tracked the two to a nearby cafe where they gathered to plot their crime, and phone analysis showed that the gang had given each other burner phones to help hide their crimes.
These individuals were detained in filthy conditions in the back of a vehicle that Khan was driving, Chris Foster, Regional Lead for Immigration Enforcement, told The Sun.
These four men were placed on a mattress within a makeshift frame, which was constructed out of wood and resembled a hide at the back of the van. They had placed old car tires in front of the frame to disguise them from the authorities.
Unfortunately for Khan and Rashied, however, Border Force discovered these four individuals after pulling all of the tires back from the van when they came upon it. These four men are at risk. They were unlawfully imported to this nation.

He went on to say: We’ve seen a 26% increase in Home Office raids in immigration enforcement over the past six months, and a further 20% increase in arrests.

For conspiring to enable unlawful immigration into the UK, Khan, 55, of Feltham, received a sentence of five years and three months.
For the same offense, Southall resident Rashied, 58, received a sentence of five years and three months.
Dame Angela Eagle, Minister for Border Security and Asylum, stated: This instance shows the extent to which traffickers will try to conceal their illegal activities.
“For their personal financial benefit, these smugglers put a bunch of people in danger and against the law.
