PEP GUARDIOLA has extended his contract with Manchester City by two years.
In the middle of a legal dispute with the Premier League, the 53-year-old’s current contract was set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
Guardiola was expected to sign a new rolling one-year agreement, according to earlier reports.
However, the renowned Spaniard has extended his stay until at least 2027, so that is no longer the case.
On X, City made the announcement.
A brief, close-up video of the former Barcelona manager’s eye was used by the team to tease the news.
“Manchester City means so much to me,” Guardiola stated. I’ve been here for nine seasons.
“Together, we have had a ton of incredible experiences. I feel a really unique connection to this football team.
“I am thrilled to be staying for two more seasons because of this.
With luck, we’ll be able to add additional trophies to the ones we’ve already earned. I’ll be concentrating on it.

After Manchester City manager Pep agreed to a new two-year contract to remain at the Etihad, the Premier League winners are now trying to persuade their star striker to do the same.
And the Spaniard was saluted by Haaland, who has 105 goals in 114 games for City.
