Pete Davidson and Colin Jost’s ferry restaurant plans delayed again as comedians stall project during feud

The $280,000 that Pete Davidson and Colin Jost invested in a defunct Staten Island ferry will be used in a horror movie in the midst of their ongoing rivalry.

The boat will soon appear in a horror film about Steamboat Willie, which the rival couple want to transform into a hotel, bar, and restaurant.

The two comedians have “fallen out” since purchasing the ship; in fact, according to a prior report by The U.S. Sun, Colin won’t even go to 30 Rock, where Saturday Night Live is recorded, if Pete is present.

However, in the midst of their argument, it has come to light that Pete and Colin’s bright orange ferry is used for filming the new horror film Screamboat.

The original Mickey Mouse mascot appears in this gruesome independent horror film, which was heavily filmed with artificial blood, according to TMZ.

Additionally, it seems that so much blood was used throughout the filming that Pete and Colin’s Staten Island Ferry required a special cleaning staff.

“A late-night boat ride turns into a desperate fight for survival in New York City when a mischievous mouse becomes a monstrous reality,” according to the movie’s synopsis, which is scheduled for release next year.

“Can a motley crew survive a killer creature with a taste for tourists?”

According to reports, Pete and Colin have nothing to do with the film itself and are just involved in the loaning of their ship.

The comedians’ animosity is still going strong.

After “something big” supposedly occurred, an insider earlier told The U.S. Sun that Colin “can’t be in the same building, let alone be in the same room as Pete.”

The source went on to say that “Colin doesn’t want to be associated with Pete.”

FEUD OVER?

However, Pete and Colin engaged in what seemed to be their first interaction in a long time during this episode of Saturday Night Live, where Pete featured in a skit earlier this month.

As soon as John joked and thanked Pete for his appearance, the two, who were standing on opposing ends of the platform, walked toward one another.

After shaking hands and parting ways, they reconnected to have a quick conversation.

According to a person familiar with the ferry arrangement, everything has stayed afloat despite the two allegedly having a feud.

Pete Davidson’s rehab stints

Pete Davidson has entered himself into rehab multiple times, each time for different reasons.

In 2017, after receiving a diagnosis of PTSD and BPD, Pete checked himself into a recovery facility.

He visited the Sierra Tucson Treatment Center in Arizona in 2019.

In June 2023, the comedian received treatment at a different mental health center.

He most recently returned to treatment around the end of July 2024.

After just a few weeks, Pete left the facility, according to a source.

A source connected to the boat company downplayed reports of a disagreement.

It was stated that “they’re both very busy and don’t talk as much as they used to,” and that people just move on.

The insider stated that the idea of a projected restructure from a decommissioned boat to an entertainment venue is still viable, despite the rumors that the couple’s relationship isn’t progressing as planned.

Since the partners are all from the city, they intend to retain the business there. “Where it ends up all depends on what kind of deal they can get with the City of New York,” they said.

The industry insider stated that they are currently soliciting funds for projects, but they would not provide any other details.

SINKING SHIP

It appears that the two dubbed their project Titanic 2 prior to their disagreement.

The company’s articles of incorporation state that they were filed two years prior to the reported fallout and hostility between the longstanding Saturday Night Live friends.

The paper outlines the fundamentals of the business for which the decommissioned Staten Island Ferry was bought and was submitted on January 24, 2022, five days after they won it at auction.

The company is headquartered in New York and was formally incorporated as Titanic 2 LLC. According to the document, the accounting firm Weygandt, Nesarajah & Company is listed as the LLC’s agent, meaning that any process against Colin and Pete’s business may be served on them.
