Police Confirm Third Arrest in Deadly St. Pete Shootout Involving Teens
ST. PETERSBURG, Florida – In a St. Petersburg murder investigation, a third adolescent was taken into custody, a Monday announcement stated.
Three youths, two of whom were 16 years old and one of whom was 17 years old, reportedly approached 21-year-old Marcus Rivers as he was seated in a car at the junction of 80th Avenue Northeast and Riverside Drive Northeast, according to St. Petersburg police.
The statement claims that “shots were fired,” killing Rivers and seriously injuring the 17-year-old.

The three adolescents were accused of armed robbery with a deadly weapon and first-degree murder.
The 17-year-old was additionally accused of being a delinquent who possessed a handgun.
All of the people engaged in the shooting, according to the investigators, knew one another. Drug use was cited as a contributing factor in the murder.
