Police helicopter helps officers catch fleeing Dodge Durango
Having eyes in the skies can be helpful at times, particularly if the suspect is driving a Dodge Durango at high speed. However, the helicopter unit of Michigan State Police’s Trooper 2 made it unlikely that the escaping car would escape.
(FOX 2) Warren, Mich. Some drivers may have noticed a white Dodge Durango traveling around metro Detroit on Sunday morning, believing it might be evading police.
After all, it was trying to avoid capture by driving along Eight Mile close to Van Dyke. However, it’s difficult to escape when law enforcement is pursuing you from above and from the road.
Four individuals led police on a chase near Warren this past weekend and found that.
Trooper 2 of the Michigan State Police’s helicopter squad, which makes it somewhat easier and occasionally more safer to find escaping offenders, captured the video from above.
The pilot is heard stating, “failed to make the curb around trees on Kelly into the medium,” at one point in the social media video. Three out of four on food, two out of four on foot, and one out on foot.”
In Harper Woods, next to the Home Depot, the Durango, whose owner had several felony warrants out, had collided with the grassy hill that separated Kelly Road.
The four suspects were taken into custody and will be charged with various offenses.
