Portland Man Charged With Kidnapping Woman: She Jumped From Moving Car to Escape

PORTLAND, Ore.- The police in Portland, Oregon, have stated that a male who is 25 years old is being charged with many offenses for allegedly kidnapping a woman who is 47 years old in the early hours of Friday morning.

At approximately 1:40 in the morning, the male apparently saw the woman between SE 146th and Division and offered to drive her home. This was the beginning of the encounter. Following their arrival at SE 112th, the woman allegedly opened the door of the stranger’s vehicle and made an attempt to exit the vehicle.

However, according to the police, the driver, who was later determined to be Ra Fet, drove off and stopped her from leaving the vehicle.

According to the authorities, the woman battled Fet while he was driving, and Fet allegedly fought back and hit her in the face because of her resistance. Eventually, the woman was able to “jump out of the moving car” and escape the situation successfully.

It was reported by the police that the woman, who was injured, started yelling for assistance. She was discovered by the officers hiding in a driveway. Both cuts and bruises were attended for by the medical staff.

Forty minutes later, the police reported that they had located Fet’s vehicle and were able to pull him over and place him under custody. In addition to being charged with kidnapping, sex abuse, compulsion, menacing, assault, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment, he was scheduled to be booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
