Prison Term Handed Down: Man Receives 7-14 Years for Selling Deadly Substances
DEBARYLIFE – The 43-year-old man who gave the man the fentanyl-laced pills that killed him in Bristol Township in 2022 has been given a sentence of up to 14 years in state prison, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.
At the beginning of this year, Joeshae Bussey of Morrisville pleaded guilty to drug delivery that caused death, possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication service, and manslaughter by accident. Wednesday, April 3, Bussey went in front of Bucks County Common Pleas Judge Wallace H. Bateman Jr. and was given a prison term of seven to fourteen years.
Ryan Dillon, 37, was found dead in a bedroom on the second floor of his home on Kindle Lane in Bristol Township on December 23, 2022. Police found a small zip-lock bag next to his body. Inside, they saw four round blue pills that looked like 30 mg oxycodone tablets. Police also found a bottle of pills that Dillon was given that contained alprazolam. The pills were sent to a crime lab to be looked at.

Police found two cell phones in Dillon’s room. On one of them, they found a text message exchange about buying pills between Dillon and someone later identified as Bussey on December 22. The two guys had lived together in the same recovery home before.
The DA’s office said that Bussey agreed to sell Dillon 30 mg oxycodone pills and that they would meet near a sports bar in the 1500 block of Haines Road. Police were able to find security video that showed the two men meeting near the sports bar on December 22 from 4:37 p.m. to 4:42 p.m.
One of the people who lived on Kindle Lane told police that Dillon last saw the house on December 22 between 4 and 5 p.m. He then saw him come back 20 minutes later and go right to his bedroom. He said that no one heard from Dillon again.
The test report said that the oxycodone pills had fentanyl, methamphetamine, and xylazine in them. Lidocaine was also in one of the tablets.
The Bucks County Coroner’s report revealed that Dillon died because he was too high on fentanyl and alprazolam. The Bristol Township Police Department looked into this, and First Assistant District Attorney Edward M. Louka was in charge of the case.
