Rachael Ray admits she’s ‘embarrassed’ by her appearance around fashionable friend Anne Burrell
In her most recent podcast episode, TV chef Rachel Ray revealed her feelings of embarrassment over her wardrobe selections.
Rachael, 56, acknowledged on her podcast, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead, that she felt “embarrassed” by the way she looked around her stylish friend Anne Burrell.
She sat down to chat with Chef Anne Burrell, a fellow Food Network alumnus and her close friend, on what it’s like to be a woman in the food industry.
Anne went on to discuss how to feel confident by wearing nicely in daily life, putting effort into your appearance, and making yourself look good.
“I feel like when you take the effort to do that on your outside it makes you feel better on the inside,” Anne replied.
“People notice that when you are put together and show up for a situation, no matter what it is.

“And I think it just almost commands respect, you know, where, when you have taken the time to put together yourself,” she continued.
She reaffirmed that “things don’t have to be expensive” and went on to say that everyone may “react accordingly” by making a “little” effort.
Rachael then said, “I agree with you,” before disclosing that she felt “embarrassed” due to her attire.
‘I’M EMBARRASSED’
She said, “And now I’membarrassedI’m sitting here in a large t-shirt and a sweater, but it is cold here.”
“I’m sitting here, you know, like an Amazon sweater and I’ve got like no pants on,” Anne said as she went on to explain her attire to the audience.
“I’m just kidding, I have pants on.”
“But it just goes into the whole package,” Anne continued, “and I think it’s like how it sort of shows how you think about yourself.”
“How you present yourself to the world.”
“I don’t think people know a lot about your path – the double college degrees, the one job, and then changing your path totally,” Rachael added, gushing about her friend.
“In life can you walk everybody through just kind of for what we can learn from it how you got from A to B to C to D to wow.”
