Radio host Robin Ayers dies at 44 following health battle – just days after marking major milestone
One year after disclosing that she was battling a particular kind of cancer, radio personality Robin Ayers passed away.
According to a statement from her company, KBLA Talk, the 44-year-old journalist passed away on Thursday.
She disclosed that she had been diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma, an aggressive disease that develops in the smooth muscles, just a year before she passed away.
The cause of death for Ayers has not been disclosed.
She passed away a few days after her twin daughters’ eighteenth birthday.

Ayers disclosed that in 2023, she received a diagnosis of the uncommon malignancy.
According to National Cancer Institute chiefs, between 10 and 20% of all instances of soft tissue sarcoma are LMS.
