Rams-Vikings national anthem singer breaks down in tears in emotional performance as deadly LA fires rage on
Following an emotional performance, the national anthem singer at Monday’s NFL playoff game started crying.
The 43-year-old Rachel Platten performed the Star Spangled Banner at Glendale, Arizona’s State Farm Stadium.
Before the Los Angeles Rams’ game versus the Minnesota Vikings, she gave an impassioned performance.
Because of the devastating wildfires raging in Southern California, the playoff match was rescheduled from Los Angeles to Arizona.
And for everyone involved, including Platten, the game at State Farm Stadium was an emotional one.
Before kickoff, the New York-born songwriter sang a few of his favorites.

At the end, she was unable to control her tears as she performed the national anthem.
The audience assembled for the NFC wild card game was giving Platten a thunderous ovation.
Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford, two Rams players, also seemed to be in tears during the performance.
Over 150,000 people have been forced to leave their homes in the Los Angeles area, and at least 24 people have perished so far.
Numerous athletic activities have been postponed or canceled due to the flames that have been burning since last week.
Games for the Los Angeles Kings, Lakers, and Clippers have all had to be postponed.
However, the NFL rescheduled the Rams’ playoff matchup with the Vikings to Arizona.
Next week, the Los Angeles Rams will play the Philadelphia Eagles in the division round.
However, because of the air quality caused by the smoke from the wildfire, they are uncertain if they will be able to train outside in their facilities in Los Angeles this week.
Kevin O’Connell, the Vikings’ coach, was born and raised in California and was once employed by the Rams.
He was a San Diego State football player.

Before the Rams game, he addressed a limited group of UK reporters, “I have a special place in my heart for Southern California.
“A number of my acquaintances did experience homelessness.
“Having experienced it, I can say that my hometown saw a few quite large fires throughout my early years.
“Due to fires, we had to postpone a game for ten days or possibly even two weeks during my final year at San Diego State.
