Red Bull fans slam ‘worst decision’ as it switches green can to completely different flavor as they beg ‘make both’

After one of RED Bull’s flavor options was changed, consumers became anxious.

Together with its iconic original product, the energy drink company offers a number of limited-edition versions.

The original Red Bull with the iconic blue and silver can lacks a defined flavor character, but this is up for discussion among fans.

Citrus notes and even traces of cherry cough medicine are detected by some, while others claim it tastes like red licorice.

Customers of Red Bull can purchase nine additional limited-edition drinks, each of which has a unique flavor that may alter over time.

Red, Sea Blue, Amber, Blue, Coconut, Green, Peach, Winter, and Yellow are some of them.

Since February 2022, some have remained the same as Dragon Fruit, such as the Green Edition.

Nevertheless, in November, consumers reported seeing a modification to the Green Edition at stores across the country.

According to an Instagram post by influencer Soda Seekers, some retailers now sell Curuba Elderflower in place of Dragon Fruit.

“Red Bull’s Dragon Fruit Green Edition is no more!” The insider wrote about food and drink.

“Long live Curuba Elderflower!”

“While this change has not been announced, the rebranded Green Edition cans have already popped up for sale in retailers,” said Soda Seekers.

BUYER BACKLASH

When they learned about Dragon Fruit’s replacement, a number of consumers were devastated.

“Dragon fruit,” someone wrote. “I’ll miss you forever,”

Another person questioned, “Why would they git rid of dragon fruit…”

A third person raged, “Worst decision in Red Bull history,”

What are the Limited-Edition Red Bull Flavors?

In addition to its original and sugar-free beverages, Red Bull offers a variety of taste alternatives. In 2024, clients will have access to a minimum of nine:

  • The Amber Edition (Strawberry Apricot)
  • The Blue Edition (Blueberry)
  • The Coconut Edition (Coconut Berry)
  • The Green Edition (Dragon Fruit/Curuba Elderflower)
  • The Peach Edition (Peach-Nectarine)
  • The Red Edition (Watermelon)
  • The Sea Blue Edition (Juneberry)
  • The Winter Edition (Iced Vanilla Berry)
  • The Yellow Addition (Tropical Fruits

Others pleaded with Red Bull to “make both” flavors available at the very least.

After the change, it’s uncertain if Dragon Fruit will be permanently discontinued.

Red Bull has been approached by the U.S. Sun to obtain additional information.

HERE TO STAY

8.4-ounce and 12-ounce cans of Red Bull’s Green Edition are available for purchase.

According to a Red Bull announcement, the Curuba Elderflower taste has only been available since this spring.

The Summer Edition introduced it to consumers, and it boasts “a burst of curuba, citrus, melon, and an elderflower finish.”

Red Bull promoted the beverage with Vashti Cunningham, the world champion high jumper.

Curuba Elderflower will be accessible for a long time through the Green Edition following an apparently successful summer excursion.

Recently, soda companies like Coca-Cola have also made sudden changes to their flavors.
