RESTAURANT RESTRUCTURING
Following the introduction of the chain’s updated menu in early November, Red Lobster has introduced a new happy hour menu for weekdays.
Along with the return of Red Lobster’s famous popcorn shrimp and hushpuppies, the new menu included more pasta, soup, sides, and seafood appetizers.
Red Lobster then introduced a Create Your Own Ultimate Feast offer in late November.
It cost about $41.99 and came with two premium selections, like snow crab legs or Maine lobster tail, two shrimp meals, like shrimp linguine Alfredo or garlic shrimp scampi, and two sides.
Red Lobster filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in late May, which prompted the new happy hour promotion and menu modifications.
The chain gave several explanations, including high debt, a drop in visitors over time, growing expenses, and the Ultimate Endless Shrimp campaign.
Under new management, the restaurant is currently making an effort to revitalize and draw customers in with its updated menu.
CEO Damola Adamolekun, who was brought on board in August to support the restaurant’s comeback, is in charge of Red Lobster’s new administration.
Additionally, RL Investor Holdings, the business run by Fortress Investment Group that bought Red Lobster out of bankruptcy in September, has taken over control of the restaurant.
Similar attempts are being made by other eateries to revive their establishments.
