Robert Saleh’s next career move revealed after brutal New York Jets firing as coach enjoys fall playing lots of golf
NEW York Jets coach Robert Saleh would be interested in joining the Dallas Cowboys, The U.S. Sun can reveal.
Saleh, 45, was brutally fired by the Jets this season after three years in charge.
The head coach was given his marching orders last month, just two days after returning from London for a game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Saleh has landed a “fluid” role with the Green Bay Packers as a consultant.
The ex-Jets leader is friends with Packers head coach Matt LaFleur.
And he’s visited the team in Wisconsin this week as they prepare to face the Chicago Bears.

But Saleh has his eyes on getting back into coaching, a source told The U.S. Sun.
The 45-year-old would be interested in either a head coach or coordinator role with the Cowboys.
Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy is out of contract at the end of the current season.
But the former Jets boss has no plans to drop into college football.
The U.S. Sun can also reveal that Saleh has been playing lots of golf at the Fairmount Country Club in New Jersey.
He is also in the process of moving home and getting his life in order before he prepares for his next full-time challenge.

Saleh finished his New York Jets spell with a 20-36 record over three seasons.
He initially signed for five years in 2021, but owner Woody Johnson made a brave decision in October.
The Jets were 2-3 when they filed Saleh with their offense faltering and claims of a rift between the coach and quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Jeff Ulbrich took over as interim head coach after Saleh’s firing.
New York has won just one game since then and has a 3-7 record.
They are third in the AFC East and face a huge uphill battle to make it to the playoffs.
That’s despite also firing offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and bringing in wide receiver Davante Adams.
Saleh was previously defensive coordinator at the San Francisco 49ers from 2017 to 2020.

He has been coaching since 2002 and won a Super Bowl during his time working with the Seattle Seahawks defence from 2011 to 2013.
