Semi-truck driver arrested after crashing into Michigan State Police cruisers on I-75

Late Wednesday night, a Michigan State Police vehicle parked on I-75 for an investigation was struck by a semi-truck, which was caused by both messy roads and careless driving. The semi driver was apprehended by troopers for driving recklessly.

(FOX 2) Royal Oak, Mich.After colliding with a Michigan State Police car that had parked on I-75 to investigate a another collision early Thursday morning, the semi-truck driver was taken into custody.

Several cars were damaged in the collision, and one state trooper was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Just after midnight, the vehicle slammed several MSP patrol units near the 11 Mile road ramp, causing significant damage, according to footage from the site.

After attempting to overtake slower traffic by shifting into the left lane, where state troopers were stopped with their emergency lights on, the tractor-trailer collided.

Three troopers first parked on the left shoulder and left lane after responding to a multi-vehicle collision near the southbound I-75 exit ramp.

After seeing the parked MSP cars, the semi tried to brake but lost control, colliding with the first patrol car and throwing it 100 yards into the back of another state police vehicle where a trooper was seated.

The lorry kept sliding, almost colliding with the other two troopers before slamming into a third car that had been in the original collision.

By leaping over the median wall, both policemen are able to evade the semi.

After a semi-truck lost control on I-75, a Michigan State Police car was damaged.

They accused the driver with reckless driving after apprehending him. Eventually, the hospitalized state trooper was freed.

The first lieutenant of the second district reprimanded drivers for engaging in unsafe, rapid driving while on the road, and the individuals who chose to take pictures of the scene afterwards.

“This incident had everything we have been talking about this last month.” stated Mike Shaw. Responding troopers had to eject individuals attempting to take pictures for their preferred social media site from the freeway ramps. We’re still urging vehicles to move over, slow down, drive carefully, and refrain from walking on the roadway.
