PEOPLE Magazine revealed their hotly anticipated winner of their Sexiest Man Alive title last night, and it’s safe to say fans are divided.

A Quiet Place and The Office star, John Krasinski, 45, has been crowned the magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2024.

Best known for playing the role of Jim Halpert on the NBC sitcom The Office, John has long been a beloved actor, with many fans overjoyed at the magazine’s choice.

But there are countless other fans who are up in arms over People’s declaration, with some even horrified over John being given the coveted title.

“Mistake was made,” fumed one person on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“How do they even choose these things?!” asked another confused fan.

“They really will call any mid white man ‘the sexiest man alive’,” added a third.

While a fourth went on to say on Instagram, “Do I need to have a conversation with someone at People about what it means to be sexy?”

And a fifth added, “He’s a great actor and director, handsome guy, but I’ve never once ever thought to myself…ya know, he’s such a sexy guy and that I want what Emily Blunt has lol.”

THE OFFICE’S JIM IS ‘TOP TIER’

But some were happy with the result, with one saying, “whoa, Jim from the office is officially top tier.”

And many more thought the wrong person was given the coveted title due to another handsome guy being snubbed, who “solidified” his spot as the Sexiest Man Alive, according to some.

“Glen Powell you have had some of the busiest and sluttiest years of all time, you are the people’s sexiest man alive,” penned one.

Another added, “You’re not gonna sit here and tell me that Glen Powell didn’t solidify his spot as the sexiest man alive after wearing a white t shirt and a cowboy hat in the pouring rain,” which referred to his starring role in summer box office smash Twisters.

A third then wrote, “We all know Glen Powell IS the sexiest man alive.”

While a fourth person said, “Glen Powell you were ROBBED but don’t worry you’re still the sexiest man alive of the year To Me.”

But regardless of what people are saying on social media, John Krasinski has won the coveted title and is officially People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive of 2024.

The actor, known for playing Jim in The Office, is married to Devil Wears Prada star Emily Blunt, whom he has been wed to since 2010.

The couple reside in Brooklyn with their two daughters, Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8.

Speaking to People Magazine about his new title, John spoke of his wife’s reaction and how she was “very excited”.

He gushed, “There was a lot of joy involved in me telling her.”

Meanwhile, John’s reaction to finding out he has won was far different from his wife’s.

He told the magazine that he immediately blacked out and had “zero thoughts” on being crowned the Sexiest Man Alive.

He did have his suspicions that maybe he was being “punked”.

“That’s not how I wake up, thinking, ‘Is this the day that I’ll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?’ And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me,” he said in disbelief.
