Shock moment teen gunman shoots cyclist outside Co-op in packed shopping centre sending onlookers fleeing for refuge

This is the horrifying scene where two teenagers shot a cyclist before escaping on an e-bike.

In broad daylight, Ramarni Spencer and Pharrell McLennon rode into a commercial strip, blasting the victim at close range, forcing shoppers to take cover.

CCTV reveals that the two, who are now 18 years old, assaulted the adolescent when he was riding through Nottingham’s Bridgeway Centre, The Meadows.

Two days after the gunmen’s escape, they were apprehended at East Midlands Airport when they were awaiting a flight to Alicante, Spain.

Officers arrest the two as they place their meal orders at a burger shop in departures, according to bodycam footage.

At Nottingham Crown Court, they both entered guilty pleas to possessing a handgun with the intent to endanger life.

McLennon, of Clifton, Nottingham, was given a 13-year prison sentence on Friday, January 24, while Spencer, of Beeston, received a 10-and-a-half-year sentence.

Each will serve their time in a facility for juvenile offenders.

When a store clerk claimed to have heard a potential gunshot that had damaged a window, police were first called to the shopping center.

Detectives who examined CCTV footage found that on May 5 of last year, at approximately 3:25 p.m., a group of young people had gathered at the shopping center.

Before they both pulled firearms and shot another young man who was also riding a bicycle, two young males were spotted on an electric bike.

The two teens were swiftly identified as suspects by detectives.

They were then trying to leave the country, according to investigations.

“Fortunately, we do not believe anyone was seriously injured during this incident, but that is not thanks to these two teenagers,” said Detective Inspector Chris Berryman of Nottinghamshire Police.

“They were lucky not to cause major injury or worse because of their careless decision to produce firearms and discharge them.

“On a spring afternoon, the incident happened in a crowded retail center. Terrified bystanders took cover in stores, and neither Spencer nor McLennon exhibited the slightest regard for their safety.

“In an attempt to avoid justice, they then purchased airline tickets, without realizing that we had already named them as suspects.

“When police arrived and took them into custody at the airport departure area, it must have been a painful shock for them.

“Detectives and uniformed coworkers put in a great deal of effort to find them and create a strong case against both criminals.
