Sick mum who starved daughter, 13, to death & ripped her hair out while she was locked in tiny room is jailed for life

A French mother was given a life term in prison for torturing her 13-year-old daughter for years before starving her to death.

A Montpellier court found 54-year-old Sandrine Pissarra guilty on Friday of torturing and abusing her daughter Amandine, who passed away in 2020 from a heart attack.

Amandine, who weighed only 28 kilos (62 pounds) when she passed away, had suffered horrendous torture for years, including starvation, beatings, and weeks of confinement in a storage room without a window.

According to a medical report, she had septicemia, major muscle loss, hair that had been torn out, and many missing teeth.

Pissarra must serve at least 20 years before becoming eligible for parole; prosecutors have called him a domestic tyrant and executioner.

Jean-Michel Cros, 49, her ex-partner, was also given a 20-year prison sentence for his involvement in the assault.

He was found guilty of denying Amandine care, which the judge described as cowardly cooperation.

Cros is not eligible for parole, unlike Pissarra.

In a closing remark, Pissarra stated, “I just want to apologize to my kids.”

Cros responded, “I have nothing to add.”

HOUSE OF HORRORS

Jean-Marie Beney, the prosecutor, revealed the horrifying depth of Amandine’s pain.

He explained how, starting at a very young age, she endured constant verbal and physical abuse, was kicked, punched, and assaulted with brooms.
