Days before Christmas, a single mother faces eviction, which would leave her and her girls without a place to live.
Since she was forced to quit her job because of back discomfort, the mother has had difficulty paying her bills.
When Vicki had to quit her job at the grocery store, she lost her unemployment payments. Vicki has two teenage daughters.
After the bills began to mount, Vicki’s apartment in Mesa, Arizona, which is roughly eighteen miles east of Phoenix, sent her a notice.
Vicki told ABC affiliate KNXV-TV that the letter is essentially a five-day notice and that a legal action to pursue eviction will begin on Monday.
After their recent reunion, Vicki fears she may lose custody of her girls.

The mother remarked, “It’s really tough knowing that I just got my girls back and that I’m going to be facing eviction.”
“I don t want that.”
According to Vicki, she has contacted local housing assistance programs, but they keep sending her to other organizations.
They essentially say no or instruct us to contact somewhere, and then they say, “Nope, MesaCAN covers your area,” Vicki remarked.
Low-income households in Mesa can get rent and short-term financial aid from the Mesa Community Action Network.
Vicki stated, “It’s hit or miss.”
Why MesaCAN is unable to assist Vicki in paying her past-due fees is unknown.
A request for response from The U.S. Sun was not answered by the show.
Analise Ortiz, a state representative for Legislative District 24, is working to draft new legislation to assist locals who require rental assistance.
Ortiz told KNXV-TV that there is currently insufficient rental help to meet the needs.

I’ve worked across the aisle with some Republican colleagues, and they tell me that they also get calls from folks who are unable to pay their rent,” Ortiz stated.
“Something has to be done.”
