Six South Florida Men Arrested in Violent Lamborghini Carjacking and Kidnapping in Connecticut
Six South Florida men have been arrested and face federal charges for their involvement in a violent armed carjacking and kidnapping in Danbury, Connecticut, on August 25. The suspects, Angel Borrero, Josue Alberto Romero, Michael Rivas, Ricardo Estrada, Anthony Pena, and Reynaldo Diaz, were arrested after the terrifying incident, where a man and woman were forcibly removed from their Lamborghini Urus.
The couple was rear-ended by a Honda Civic before a white van cut them off. The suspects violently dragged them into the van, where they were bound with duct tape and threatened with death. The male victim was beaten with a baseball bat when he resisted. Responding to 911 calls, officers spotted the van and attempted to stop it, but the suspects fled. After a crash, authorities rescued the bound victims and arrested four of the suspects near the scene. The Lamborghini was later found abandoned in a wooded area.
Borrero, who is alleged to have orchestrated the crime, paid for and arranged flights for the group to travel from Florida to Connecticut. To learn more about the case, visit NBC Miami.
