Sixties sitcom star unrecognizable 55 years after TV show that made her famous
Fifty-five years after starring in the popular television program that made her famous, this 1960s sitcom star looks radically different.
Her most famous role was that of Betty Jo Bradley on the CBS sitcom Petticoat Junction when she was in her twenties. She is currently in her nineties.
She was a huge hit with fans of the popular sitcom, which ran from 1963 to 1970.
Fans were taken aback by the former comedy star’s appearance in Los Angeles last week.
The 80-year-old Linda Kaye Henning, who used to play Betty Jo Bradley, looked drastically different running errands in Los Angeles.
The actress looked completely different from her Petticoat Junction persona in a loose-fitting pair of pants and a corduroy jacket.

Even while her appearance has changed since her days as a sitcom actress, she still has one distinguishing characteristic.
On her most recent outing, Linda’s distinctive red hair was still present, but it was combed down and styled sleekly.
Both on-screen and in her daily life, Linda was frequently spotted wearing glitzy attire when she was younger.
In Petticoat Junction, Linda portrayed Betty Jo, one of three children assisting their mother in managing the Shady Rest Hotel.
“We were one of the friendliest sets around,” Linda said in a previous interview with Closer Weekly about her time on Petticoat Junction. We all got along well.
‘WE WERE ALL A FAMILY’
“Every now and then, after our show was off the air, I would see someone from our crew on another set, and it would be like old times,” she continued.
“We were all a family.”
However, during the filming of Petticoat Junction, Linda experienced sadness when Bea Benaderet, the actress who portrayed her mother on the program, Kate Bradley, was stricken with lung cancer.
Regarding her on-screen mother’s departure from the program, Linda previously stated, “The hardest day was when they had a letter written from Kate to Betty Jo.”
“They had recorded Bea reading it, and I just tried not to burst out into tears during the scene,” she explained.
We were among the most amiable groups in the area. We all got along.
Linda starred in Petticoat Junction and appeared in Brigadoon and Bye Bye Birdie, among other musicals.
Additionally, she voiced Jethrine Bodine on The Beverly Hillbillies, in which Max Baer Jr. portrayed the twin sister of his character Jethro.
ON-SCREEN MARRIAGE TO REAL LIFE LOVERS
Linda was born to Paul and Ruth in Los Angeles, where she currently resides.
Following her ascent to comedy fame, Linda wed Mile Minor, her co-star who portrayed Steve Elliott, in 1968.
The couple’s love journey was similar to that of Betty Jo and Steve, and they were married a year after their on-screen characters were married on Petticoat Junction.

Despite their apparent compatibility, the couple tragically parted ways and were divorced in 1973.
