DETROIT (FOX 2):However, winter conditions are predicted, which could result in a convoluted Thursday morning travel.
Wednesday will begin dry and remain dry for the majority of the day. As we get into the night, that will alter.
Timetable:
Snow starts to come in at 8 p.m.
It is predicted that the snow will turn to freezing rain from midnight and continue to fall until around seven in the morning.
It is predicted that the region will receive about 1/10 of an inch of ice, with certain regions in southern Southeast Michigan maybe receiving somewhat more. Despite the fact that 1/10 may not seem like much, it is plenty to coat roadways and produce hazardous circumstances. It is anticipated that the Thursday morning commute would be smooth.
Furthermore, electricity wires will be coated by that ice, increasing the likelihood of power outages.
Next steps:
The impact of the ice will vary depending on the temperature.
