St. Clair Shores substitute teacher accused of sending inappropriate messages to student
This inquiry was launched just one day after another Metro Detroit school employee was put on leave for unprofessional conduct at a Christian school that dates back to 2016.
FOX 2: St. Clair Shores, Mich.A substitute teacher who was placed on leave for allegedly sending a student sexually explicit texts is being looked into by police.
This inquiry was launched just one day after another Metro Detroit school employee was put on leave for unprofessional conduct at a Christian school that dates back to 2016.
A report was submitted to both the police department and Edustaff, and the Edustaff employee was promptly dismissed from the high school. We are still looking into this issue.
Another member of the educational community is being accused of inappropriate behavior just one day after the Detroit Police Department launched an investigation into claims that a former employee of this Christian school had abused a pupil in a social media post.
According to student Jayda Sierra, “It was just crazy, I mean like the whole school knew about it in a matter of a matter of an hour.”
There are allegations against a substitute teacher at Lake Shore High School in St. Clair Shores for allegedly sending a pupil sexually graphic texts.
Sierra claims to have seen the said content but to have never received any communications from the teacher.
“There were screenshots going around, there were text messages,” she stated.
Jayda’s mother is furious that her teen’s high school could host such an incident.
According to father Mariszckiewicz, “I think it’s absurd and uncalled, regardless of age or anything that they try to excuse,” “It s wrong.”
Edustaff, a staffing company, presented the substitute to the school.
According to the company, on December 17, it learned that a student complaint against an Edustaff sub-teacher working for Lake Shore Public Schools was the subject of an ongoing inquiry.
The business issued a statement that says, in part:
“The worker was put on leave and removed from their assignment right away. They are currently on leave and are not allowed to work for Edustaff in any capacity while the investigation is ongoing.
Additionally, the Lake Shore Public Schools superintendent issued a statement that includes the following excerpt:
“The Edustaff employee was immediately removed from the High School, a report was filed with Edustaff and the Police Department.”
This incident is being investigated, the St. Clair Shores Police Department Chief of Police confirmed to FOX 2.
In order to protect their children, parents want the authorities to take strong action against this behavior.
“I think they definitely need to bust down a lot more with teachers and substitutes, whatever they might be on how they are treating these kids,” Suszckiewicz said.
