Stranger Things actor Mark Withers dies aged 77 after pancreatic cancer battle as tributes paid to ‘strength & dignity’
Actor Mark Withers, who starred in Magnum, P.I., Dynasty, and Stranger Things, passed away at the age of 77.
According to his daughter Jessie Withers, Withers died on November 22 after receiving a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
“He faced his illness with the same strength and dignity he brought to his craft, leaving a legacy of warmth, humor, and dedication, along with his remarkable ability to make every role unforgettable,” she said in a statement to Variety on Friday.
“Mark s enduring talent and commitment to the industry will be fondly remembered by colleagues, friends, and fans alike.”
The actor started acting in the 1970s and ended his four-decade career in 2019 with his final on-screen appearance.
The Dukes of Hazzard, Remington Steele, Dallas, Matlock, Death Of A Centerfold: The Dorothy Stratten Story, Wonder Woman, Trapper John, M.D., and Hart To Hart all featured him in brief roles.

He also played Coach Locke in eight Days of Our Lives episodes from 1986 to 1987.
