Target reveals Black Friday store hours and extended shopping times for customers through December 23
TARGET has released its store hours for Black Friday and intends to offer shoppers even more time to prepare for the holiday season.
The upcoming adjustments to the retail giant’s typical operation windows will soon take place at its 1,963 locations nationwide.
During Black Friday, which falls on November 29 this year, Target stores will open early at 6 am local time, per a Tuesday press release.
Target noted that it will allow customers to get their hands on some brand-new Taylor Swift offerings before they sell out, including the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Book and The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology in CD and Vinyl.
The special Taylor Swift merchandise is exclusive to Target in-store, online, and on the retailer’s mobile application.
The book, vinyl, and CD will each have a limit of four per shopper, and a digital queue will be set up as needed to ensure everyone gets a chance at the items.

Customers uninterested in the highly-anticipated release can still get countless Black Friday deals during the extended store hours.
Target Circle 360 members also get unlimited same-day delivery (on orders over $35) during the busiest shopping day of the year.
Additionally, from November 10 to December 2, Target is offering a 50% discount on the $99 annual memberships.
Regular customers also still have access to Drive Up and Order Pickup for same-day purchases so long as they’re made two hours before their local store closes.
TIS’ THE SEASON
Mark Schindele, chief stores officer at Target, emphasized that the retailer would be the ideal spot to get Christmas gifts in 2024.
“Target is the place to be on Black Friday — and all season long — with incredible deals on thousands of items across every category and exclusive in-store items you’ll want to pick up for everyone on your gift list this year,” Schindele noted in the release.
“With extended store hours, convenient same-day pickup and delivery options, and around-the-clock online availability, you can choose when, where, and how to shop, and our fantastic team will be there to deliver.”
Target is committed to being available all season long, as starting the day after Black Friday on November 30 to December 23, stores nationwide will remain open from 7 am to midnight.
The extended hours from Black Friday through December 23 not only give shoppers ample opportunities to get their holiday season essentials and gifts but also make up for Target’s annual closure on Thanksgiving (November 28).
It’s the fifth year in a row that Target has shuttered for the holiday, similar to Walmart, to “provide team members with the opportunity to spend time with family and friends,” per the release.
What is Target Circle 360?

Target said it’s only “possible thanks to its team and ability to meet consumers’ holiday needs within and well beyond store hours.”
DEALS FOR DAYS
Even so, shoppers desperate to get items on Thanksgiving can still make orders online and through Target’s mobile app, they just won’t be available for pickup until Black Friday.
Hours and operations the day before Thanksgiving on November 27 will remain as normal, according to the release.
Target customers should also remain aware that Black Friday deals start on November 24 and run through November 30, so they don’t have to wait until the day of to save money.
The retailer praised the sales as its “best-planned prices of the season” with “twice as many Black Friday weekend deals” compared to 2023.
