Target reveals return window for holiday orders will change – and shoppers must check dates for new refund period
There is a significant difference at Target this season that shoppers should be aware of when creating and reviewing their holiday lists.
The store has extended the window for returning electronics and entertainment devices bought during the gift-giving season as part of an update to its holiday return policy.
The precise refund deadlines, however, vary depending on the item you purchase and are more stringent for some goods.
Items bought between November 7 and December 24 are covered by Target’s updated policy, with the return window formally opening on December 26.
The return term has been extended for the majority of electronics and entertainment devices, however it is shorter for popular things like mobile phones and Beats and Apple products.
Customers have until January 24, 2025, to return non-Apple gadgets and entertainment products, starting on December 26.

A more constrained 14-day return period, with a deadline of January 8, 2025, is applicable to Apple and Beats products as well as mobile phones.
According to Target, the policy is intended to offer flexibility while upholding precise deadlines for holiday returns.
The retailer’s objective of simplifying post-holiday exchanges and refunds is in line with the longer return window.
However, in order to prevent surprises, customers are advised to check their receipts and verify particular dates.
Target’s website and customer support channels provide more information regarding the revised return policy.
