Team GB Olympic gold medallist makes shock career change to join CIRCUS months after winning in Paris
Months after taking home the gold at the Paris Games, Olympian Bryony Page of TEAM GB will be joining the CIRCUS.
As the first trampolinist to win Olympic gold for Team GB, Page, 33, created history.
However, months after that victory, she is about to undergo a dramatic professional transition.
In an interview with the BBC, she disclosed that she will be visiting Montreal, Canada, to join the renowned Cirque du Soleil, with whom she intends to tour the following year.
She stated: “I love the idea of performing in the show and using trampoline in a different way.”
Page, who was born in Crewe, took home bronze in Tokyo 2020 and silver in Rio 2016.
She acknowledges that she is still “in shock” over winning the Olympic championship, but she is focused on keeping it at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
Page stated: “I have a medal to prove it to myself, and I know it has happened, but I still find it difficult to comprehend how it happened and that it has.
“The Olympians seemed like superheroes to me as a child.
“For me, personally, having the complete set, it just feels really nice and it’s quite poetic with the trampoline because it went silver, then down to bronze, and bounced back up to gold.”

Page, the most decorated female gymnast in British history, adds the Olympians Olympian title to her list of accomplishments.
A post on Team GB’s social media website read: “The most decorated female gymnast in British history has been voted by her Paris 2024 teammates for demonstrating what it means to be part of Team GB with true Olympic spirit.”
“Plan A would be to do that and then come back for the LA Olympics,” she continued, referring to her most recent journey.
“When I compete in front of an audience, I view it as a performance as much as a competition.
“I really enjoy the performance aspect of it, which includes the makeup, costumes, set, music, crew, and camaraderie.
“Compared to when I was in my early 20s, I feel stronger and better now.
“I adore the sensation of spinning and twirling while soaring through the sky, as well as the G forces we experience.
“I can’t imagine doing anything different at the moment.”
