Teen Mom’s Ryan Edwards blames ex Mackenzie for stalling divorce & begs judge for mediation before fiancee gives birth
In court documents, TEEN Mom star Ryan Edwards accused his ex-wife Mackenzie of delaying their divorce, but she is arguing that he is the one delaying the process.
In February, Ryan, 36, and his fiancée, Amanda Conner, are expecting their first child.
Ryan is asking a judge to grant a date for mediation to dissolve his marriage to Mackenzie, 27, with whom he has two children, Jagger, 6, and Stella, 4, according to court documents that The U.S. Sun exclusively received.
On November 20, Ryan submitted a Motion to Continue, arguing that Mackenzie has failed to submit the necessary paperwork to support the divorce proceedings.
On May 15, 2024, [Ryan] proposed to [Mackenzie] a number of interrogation questions and production requirements.
[Ryan] was directed by the court to reply by June 20, 2024. The Motion to Compel, which [Ryan] submitted, is still awaiting hearing on November 25, 2024.

In this instance, [Ryan] is unable to finish the requested papers since [Mackenzie] has not provided discovery replies.
The court’s direction for the parties to resume mediation in the matter is also mentioned in the document.
He is asking the judge to set up mediation in the matter rather than a trial and that Mackenzie submit her discovery responses by December 2.
However, Ryan Edwards has asked for our divorce hearing to be postponed four times, Mackenzie insisted exclusively to The U.S. Sun.
According to reports, he is engaged to Amanda and has a child on the way. I hope he would be more eager to put this chapter behind us and concentrate on his own future.
Ryan has postponed a hearing to establish a temporary parenting plan at least four times, according to their divorce case.
In one example, Ryan’s lawyer withdrew from the lawsuit in July 2022, and a new lawyer applied to represent the Teen Mom: The Next Chapterstar, which caused the proceedings to halt.
IT’S OVER
Since she filed to dissolve the marriage in February 2023 after accusing him of abuse, Ryan and Mackenzie have been embroiled in a contentious divorce.
In March 2023, Mackenzie applied for an Order of Protection.
Ryan was instructed to avoid contact with her and to avoid her company.
She asked Ryan to provide her with spousal and child support, as well as interim custody of her children.
Mackenzie pushed for Ryan to enroll in a drug rehab and counseling program.
At the time of the assault allegations, Ryan told The U.S. Sun, “I don’t speak for her. I tried telling her that I would have loved to work on it since I still wanted to at the moment, but I never intended to hurt her.
At a court hearing on July 14, 2023, the Order of Protection was revoked, enabling Ryan to communicate with their children via her.
Then, in August 2023, The U.S. Sun was able to get exclusive pictures of Ryan and Mackenzie getting back together outside of his rehabilitation center.
Even though they spent time together, he started dating Amanda in the summer of 2023 after they met at a treatment facility.
CUSTODY BATTLE
Since there had been no filings for 270 days, Mackenzie and Ryan’s divorce was dismissed in February 2024.
On March 6, 2024, Ryan then submitted a fresh divorce complaint, claiming “irreconcilable differences.”
Ryan asked for shared custody of their children in court paperwork that The U.S. Sun was able to get.
Ryan asked to be “designated the primary residential parent” and “that child support be assigned from [Mackenzie’s] income.”
The file was never answered by Mackenzie.
In October, Mackenzier asked Ryan for child support, claiming he had not paid.
According to Mackenzie, Ryan works and receives money from MTV Teen Mom.
Given that the father works for a living and the mother has physical custody of the two children, the court should mandate that the father pay child support to the mother while the case is pending. At the final hearing, the child support obligation should be made permanent.
Mackenzie reported earning $3,000 a month.
In good faith, she estimates Ryan’s monthly income to be $18,440.
According to her, Jagger and Stella spend “zero days” with Ryan, but they are with her all year round.
The former MTV personality is asking the court to impose both retroactive child support from the date of the separation and current child support.
CUSTODY PLAN
According to a previous article in the U.S. Sun, Ryan visits his mother Jen’s residence every other Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
According to the source, Ryan argued in court that he should be permitted to accompany Jen to pick up the children from Mackenzie, but he hasn’t done it once.
Ryan shared pictures of Jagger and Stella at his mother’s house in Tennessee on social media.
Amanda, his fiancée, who is expecting their first child together, is prohibited from being around the children.
Amanda recently disclosed that she has been sober for more than a year, despite her history of drug-related legal issues.
Additionally, Ryan and his ex-fiancee Maci Bookout have a 16-year-old kid named Bentley.
RYAN EDWARDS’ RELATIONSHIP STRUGGLES
In addition, Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie, his estranged wife, have been in court about their divorce and child custody:
Ryan is attempting to divorce Mackenzie, who is 28 years old.
After getting married in 2017, Mackenzie filed for divorce from her husband in February 2023.
According to a prior article by the U.S. Sun, the divorce was dismissed in February 2024 since the case had no filings for 270 days.
After that, Ryan filed for his own divorce from his estranged wife.
In early March, Ryan filed for divorce with a small child, according to a Tennessee court document that The U.S. Sun was able to read.
A permanent suggested parenting plan was also filed by him.
For their two children, Ryan asked to be “designated the primary residential parent” and “that child support be assigned from Mackenzie’s income.”
Additionally, according to the U.S. Sun, on March 28, 2023, Mackenzie filed for an order of protection against Ryan.
Ryan was instructed to avoid contact with her and to avoid her company.
Following a hearing in early April 2024, both parties consented to a mutual restraining order.
RYAN’S LEGAL TROUBLES
The sobriety of Ryan follows a year of legal issues.
After Ryan was caught for drug possession, harassment, and underage drinking, he was given a sentence of over a year at Silverdale Detention Center in April 2023.
He completed a 28-day treatment at Cadas Rehab in Chattanooga, Tennessee, after being released from prison in July 2023.
At a court hearing in August 2023, he was ordered to the Oasis halfway home, which is situated on the same grounds as Cadas, after finishing the program.
