Tennis icon Anna Kournikova sparks major health concerns after being spotted in wheelchair for first time in two years

While at a posh shopping mall, ANNA KOURNIKOVA was seen in a wheelchair.

The tennis legend, who once peaked at number eight in the global rankings, has not been seen in two years.

Kournikova, 43, was spotted in a wheelchair at Bal Harbour in Miami, Florida, indicating serious health issues.

In addition, she had an orthopaedic boot on one foot, which may indicate a recent injury.

Along with a few pals, the former tennis player was joined by her two daughters, Lucy, age 7, and Maria, age 4.

They were photographed together in the parking lot of the shopping center, laughing and chatting.

The two daughters were dressed same in white jeans and t-shirts.

After a career in which she won 16 doubles titles, Kournikova withdrew from competition in 2003.

After winning the Australian Open with Martina Hingis in November 1999, she achieved her greatest doubles ranking of No. 1.

Although she didn’t win any titles during her singles career, she did make it to the Wimbledon semifinals in 1997.

Having been in the music video for ‘Escape’, she began dating singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias in 2001.

Together, Lucy, Maria, and their son Nicholas are the couple’s three children.

In 2002, the Russian superstar, who also worked as a model, defeated celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears to win the title of sexiest woman in the world.

In 2010, she was also named the most attractive female tennis player of all time.

However, she had to quit early at the age of 21 due to a series of injuries, primarily back issues.

Iglesias is a little more outspoken, but Kournikova has lived in seclusion as she has adapted to family life.

He has been a little more forthcoming with the public regarding his kids and family.

“I’m lounging at home with the kids, enjoying taking them to school and watching them grow,” he added during his speech at the 40 Music Awards.
