Terry Bradshaw and Jimmy Johnson roll back years on Fox NFL Sunday for live TV segment with running back icon

Jimmy Johnson and Terry Bradshaw rewrote history at Fox NFL Sunday’s NFC Championship.

At Lincoln Financial Field, the NFL Hall of Famer duo participated in an odd live television segment with a legendary running back.

NFL on Fox Sunday was assigned to cover the Washington Commanders vs. Philadelphia Eagles playoff game before kickoff.

LeSean McCoy, an Eagles legend, was brought on during the broadcast, and the cast talked about the impending game.

Before the Eagles’ Divisional Round game in the snow, McCoy disclosed that he had received a call from Saquon Barkley asking for instruction on how to run in the cold weather.

As seen by his 2013 single-game record of 217 rushing yards against the Detroit Lions, the retired running back McCoy knows all too well how to sprint in the snow.

NFL on Fox Barkley’s lengthy touchdown run was reenacted on Sunday, and McCoy examined his choice to jump cut to the left in order to score.

Johnson, the legendary head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, questioned McCoy, “Did you ever have a run like that?”

“Yes, I did. This isn’t good! However, anything along those lines,” McCoy replied.

After that, Johnson decided to show McCoy and the Fox NFL Sunday crew Barkley’s run.

As Rob Gronkowski and Howie Long blocked for Bradshaw, the quarterback in question, and running back McCoy, the program provided a space for players to play pretend football on the sidelines.

Julian Edelman was a defender, and Fox NFL Sunday stars Charles Woodson and Michael Strahan played defense like they did in their Hall of Fame careers.

“You’re not going to be able to run all the way across the field!” Johnson gave McCoy instructions.

“Bring back some memories Shady!” McCoy heard Strahan telling him.

“You’re taking a handoff fromTerry Bradshaw!” As McCoy lifted the ball to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Johnson said to him.

After that, Bradshaw passed the ball to McCoy, who had a clear opening for the touchdown after making a leap cut to the left.

Long laid up the block for McCoy to score, and Gronk was also spotted jokingly bumping with his old New England Patriots teammate Edelman.

“Slam it down!” Then Johnson shouted at McCoy.

After yelling, “That’s how you do it, baby!” and spiking the ball, McCoy gave Johnson a high five.
