The Witcher sequel finally gets a name and a new female protagonist

We haven’t seen a new game from CD Projekt since 2020, despite the company being best recognized for award-winning titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher.

We know that more is in the pipeline, but the crew has been working on Cyberpunk DLC and other re-releases since then.

The next game in the Witcher series was the one that everyone was interested in when CD Projekt announced a number of new games in production back in March 2022.

Officially known as Project Polaris, fans dubbed it The Witcher 4.

Before the Game Awards, very little information about the game had been made public, but there were rumors that Geralt of Rivia would not be the main character.

This came to light after Doug Cockle, who plays Geralt, had previously hinted that his character might play a minor part in The Witcher 4.

The Witcher series was shockingly revealed at the Game Awards, and we now know that the official title is The Witcher 4.

In addition to the name, the gameplay appeared to be highly developed, suggesting that it will launch earlier than anticipated.

In the new video, we can see that Ciri will become the series’ new protagonist.

The ongoing arguments about whether of The Witcher 3’s endings is the real one appear to be resolved by this new video.

We can presume that Ciri did not vanish or accede to the throne because she continued to practice Witchery in Geralt’s footsteps.
