TAMPA, Florida –
Authorities in downtown Tampa reported that a shooting late on Tuesday night left three persons injured.
The Tampa Police Department reports that at 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were sent to the junction of Tyler Street and Marion Street in response to a report of gunfire.
When they got there, there were multiple wasted rounds and a firearm. During the incident, a woman received lower-body trauma and two men sustained upper-body trauma.
The shooting, according to investigators, had something to do with a narcotics deal. Police said there was an altercation with unidentified individuals, who detectives are still trying to identify.
Officials said that the three victims drove themselves to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the police, all of the victims had a criminal past that included drug charges and robbery convictions. The victims left Orlando driving a stolen Jeep, according to TPD.
Two pistols, according to investigators, were discovered inside the car that was taken from Orlando.
According to the officers, there is currently no proof that the shooting was an act of violence committed at random. The victims of this crime, according to the authorities, are not connected to or associated with any of the recent incidents that have taken place in the city.
