TikTok influencer, 27, dies after undergoing routine cosmetic surgery & going into cardiac arrest at Mexico clinic

Tragically, a beloved influencer and single mother passed away a few days after having cosmetic surgery.

Following a liposuction procedure in Mexico that left her in critical care, Denisse Reyes’ health rapidly began to deteriorate, her distraught relatives revealed.

Three days after the disastrous procedure, the 27-year-old died of a sudden heart arrest.

According to Denisse’s family, a surgeon who was not authorized to do the treatment operated on her on January 26 at the San Pablo Medical Clinic in Tuxtla Guti rrez.

After Denisse’s uncle, Ammao Rodriguez, said that the TikTok star had a negative reaction to the intravenous medication that was given to her, her family later named Doctor Orlando Gamboa.

Rodriguez told the Daily Mail that the bad response caused her heart to cease pumping soon after the operation.

Doctors told her buddy that the situation was “delicate” when Denisse fell into cardiac arrest at the clinic hours after the procedure while she was recovering, the uncle continued.

Her grandfather stated: “She starts to feel sick and goes into cardiac arrest and at that moment they take her out of the room where she was in the clinic.”

After that, the single mother was taken to Manzur Hospital and given critical care treatment.

When Denisse’s condition deteriorated, the attending physician, Dr. Orlando Gamboa, ordered the hospital transfer, the family’s attorney told Infobae Mexico.

According to lawyer Rodrguez, Gamboa moved the influencer because they lacked the necessary tools to take care of her.

The attorney stated: “He took her out of the hospital and dropped her off at the Mansur High Specialty Solutions Hospital, which is where he transferred her because they supposedly did not have an intensive care unit.”

He went on to say that the physicians who performed the cosmetic procedure did not accept accountability for her recovery following the hospitalization.

Despite being admitted to intensive care, she continued to deteriorate until her death on January 29.

Massiel Reyes, Denisse’s sister, wrote a heartfelt homage to the well-known social media personality, writing: “I held you the day I bid goodbye to you and told you, ‘See you in Tampico,’ and I didn’t want to let you go.

“I request complete respect for my mother’s and my nephew Mat’s suffering because the circumstances behind my sister’s death are private.

“I can only thank all those who have spoken to me out of concern for her.”

Dr. Gamboa, who is accused of performing the influencer’s surgery, and anybody else held accountable for her demise will face legal action from the family’s attorney.

The lawyer continued: “After this happens, we will proceed against the doctor and whoever is responsible … but right now the main one will be Dr Gamboa.”

The family will continue to communicate with the Chiapas Ministry of Health authorities, he added.

“May the authorities treat Denisse fairly and may the doctor make some sort of compensation for his actions,” her uncle stated.

“It’s not fair that she was already fine after her surgery and suddenly her health worsened to the point of death.”

Friends and family of Denisse are trying to raise awareness of the risks associated with getting cosmetic surgery done in unlicensed clinics.

Regarding the charges against Denisse’s physician, no medical body has released an official statement, and Gamboa has not commented in public.

Known as the “Queen of the Nenis of Tamaulipas” on Facebook and TikTok, Denisse was reportedly in good health and free of any pre-existing conditions prior to undergoing cosmetic surgery.

In 2022, she became well-known online as a “nenis,” a name used to describe Mexican women who sell goods online. She then opened her own store and advertised it on social media.
