Tom Brady continues shakeup at Las Vegas Raiders as huge figure is fired days after Antonio Pierce
In his first offseason as the Las Vegas Raiders’ owner, Tom Brady is cleaning houses.
The Raiders fired general manager Tom Telesco a few days after removing head coach Antonio Pierce.
After a 4–13 season, early rumors suggested that Telesco may keep his job until the winter.
But in the end, ownership made the decision to start over this offseason.
The Athletic reports that Brady, Mark Davis, and other team executives convened on Wednesday to make a decision on Telesco’s employment.
The franchise released a statement stating, “The Las Vegas Raiders have relieved Tom Telesco of his duties as General Manager.”

“We value his efforts in laying the groundwork for the future. We want the best for Tom and his family.
Before being let go, Telesco was the team’s general manager for just one season.
With the addition of offensive linemen Jackson Powers-Johnson and DJ Glaze, as well as tight end Brock Bowers, he had a successful 2024 draft.
He signed defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, but he only played five games before missing the remainder of the season, thus he had a difficult time in free agency.
He also signed quarterback Gardner Minshewto to a $25 million, two-year contract, which he failed to fulfill.
Minshew shattered his clavicle after being benched several times during the season’s early going.
As the general manager of the Los Angeles Chargers for ten years, Telesco had a wealth of general management knowledge.
But at that time, he only managed to record 84-92.
Pierce was likewise fired as head coach after just one season.
The team released a statement saying, “We appreciate Antonio’s leadership, first as an interim head coach and this past season as the head coach.”
“Antonio has strong Silver and Black ties and was raised as a Raiders supporter.
We are appreciative of his ability to rekindle Raider pride across the entire organization.
“We wish nothing but the best for Antonio and his family in the future.”
Bill Belichick was contacted by the Raiders regarding their open head coaching post, but it looks like he will continue playing college football for UNC.
