Tom Brady makes Bill Belichick approach to become new Las Vegas Raiders head coach after $10m UNC clause is revealed

Tom Brady wants to get back together with his old coach.

Bill Belichick has reportedly been contacted by Brady on his decision to withdraw from collegiate football.

NFL writer Tom Pelissero claims that Belichick has been contacted by several NFL teams on a potential return.

Even though Belichick only signed a contract with UNC football a month ago, some teams are hopeful he quickly changes his mind.

His former quarterback is one of many who is checking in on Belichick.

Brady, who recently joined the Las Vegas Raiders’ ownership group, is anticipated to have a significant influence over the team’s next head coach.

“It will be interesting to see how much influence Tom Brady will have in this next Raiders coaching search,” Dianna Russini, a reporter, said.

“I m told it will be a lot.”

Brady appears to be looking for a seasoned head coach to steer the Raiders in the right direction after the organization fired head coach Antonio Pierce on Tuesday.

The team released a statement saying, “We appreciate Antonio’s leadership, first as an interim head coach and this past season as the head coach.”

“Antonio has strong Silver and Black ties and was raised as a Raiders supporter.

We are appreciative of his ability to rekindle Raider pride across the entire organization.

“We wish nothing but the best for Antonio and his family in the future.”

Belichick would have to pay a $10 million buyout if he wanted to leave UNC for an NFL position.

That figure falls to $1 million, though, if he departs after June 1, 2025.

In any case, he probably doesn’t care about that amount because $10 million is much less than what he was earning every season while playing for the New England Patriots.

Any NFL team he signs with would probably offer him a huge money, but he doesn’t appear to want to leave UNC.

Even if Brady asked for Belichick, he is not anticipated to return to the NFL, according to a report published by Russini on Wednesday.

“Bill Belichick has no plans to return to the NFL, per sources,” she wrote in X.

As he works to shape the future of the Tar Heels, I’ve been informed that his only priorities are coaching and recruiting for North Carolina.
