Tom Brady’s next NFL assignment revealed as Fox misses out on major showdowns starring Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson

TOM Brady’s next broadcast assignment has been announced by Fox Sports.

But the 47-year-old will not be on one of Week 11’s marquee NFL games.

Fox’s main crew will be at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois for an NFC North showdown.

The Chicago Bears will take on their rivals the Green Bay Packers in front of Brady’s eyes.

Brady will, as ever, be joined by Kevin Burkhardt in the booth as well as Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi on the sidelines.

The game will kickoff at 1 pm ET and is one of three Fox games in that window.

JIMMY GONE

But the network has missed out on the major clashes this weekend between winning teams.

Fox holds the NFC package in the NFL while CBS has the AFC side.

And the two big games Sunday will both be on CBS during their doubleheader.

The Baltimore Ravens will visit their AFC North rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers in the pick of the 1 pm ET games.

Baltimore heads into the game with a 7-3 record while Pittsburgh is 7-2.

But the main CBS crew of Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be in action at 4.25 pm ET.

Patrick Mahomes and the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs will visit Josh Allen and the 8-2 Buffalo Bills.

And another showdown between seven-win teams was given to Amazon Prime.

The 7-3 Washington Commanders took on the 7-2 Philadelphia Eagles Thursday night to kick off Week 11.

Fox has five games in total over the two windows on Sunday.

The Tom Brady domino effect

Tom Brady will take his seat in Fox’s top NFL announce team alongside Kevin Burkhardt.

And his arrival at the network has set off a domino effect with every other announcer moving down one spot.

That means Fox’s NFL coverage in 2024 will feature entirely new broadcast pairings.

Greg Olsen, who previously worked alongside Burkhardt, will now be part of the No. 2 announce team with Joe Davis.

The other Fox pairings for 2024 are:

  • Adam Amin-Mark Sanchez
  • Kenny Albert-Jon Vilma
  • Kevin Kugler-Daryl Johnston
  • Chris Myers-Mark Schlereth

Their second team of Joe Davis and Greg Olsen will be at the Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers at 4.05 pm ET.

Brady has helped Fox to record ratings so far this season.

But his transition to the broadcast booth has hit a couple of speed bumps.

He caused controversy after apparently criticizing officials on live TV – something he is not allowed to do now he’s a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Brady slammed the decision to eject Detroit Lions star Brian Branch during the Week 9 clash with Green Bay.

He said on commentary: “I don’t love that call at all.

“I mean, obviously, it’s a penalty, but, to me, that has to be serious intent in a game like this.”
