Tourist, 66, dies in freak accident after slipping and cracking head open on Buddhist ‘good luck’ shrine in Pattaya

After slipping and breaking his skull on a fortunate Buddhist statue, a Canadian tourist passed away.

The 66-year-old Canadian vacationer sadly crushed his head on the stone carving after slipping on the stairs on his way back to his hotel room.

The terrible incident occurred on Wednesday at a beach resort in Pattaya, which is located on Thailand’s east coast.

As a good luck shrine, a stone statue of a female dancer was positioned next to the entrance.
