The cherished decades-old custom of digitally tracking Santa Claus as he delivers presents to kids worldwide, known as NORAD’s Santa Tracker, is back for its 69th year.
Santa’s travels are monitored by NORAD every year at 4 a.m. EST on Christmas Eve. Operators wait for kids to phone and get the most recent information on Santa’s whereabouts beginning at 6 a.m. EST. The toll-free number to reach them is 1-877-HI-NORAD (1-877-446-6723).
Here is all the information you require regarding the NORAD Santa Tracker for this year.
How to track Santa on LiveNOW from FOX
“Track Santa Now,” a three-hour event on FOX’s LiveNOW, will start at 9 p.m. EST on Christmas Eve.
In addition to a ton of seasonal updates and interviews with NORAD personnel, the show will include a live look at where Santa Claus and his reindeer are in their
In addition to the FOX Local app for smartphones and smart TVs, you can watch it live in the video player above.
Special guests on LiveNOW from FOX
This year, FOX’s LiveNOW will provide viewers with real-time updates from Santa Claus himself as he makes his rounds. There may also be a special guest showing up, according to sources, whose heart is two sizes too small.
Other holiday favorites will also be available. These include a visit to a poinsettia farm, a drive with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and a view of the renowned displays in Brooklyn’s Dyker Heights.
When will Santa arrive at your house?
Only Mr. Claus is aware of Santa’s route, but NORAD keeps track of his whereabouts. Remember that Santa only stops at homes where kids are asleep, and NORAD cannot forecast when he will get to your house!
Santa usually shows up between 9 p.m. and midnight on Christmas Eve in most nations, but if kids are still up, he will go to other houses and come back after they are asleep.
Updates on Old Saint Nick’s location will be available to NORAD Tracks Santa program fans.
What is NORAD?
A binational institution of the United States and Canada, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) is responsible for North American maritime warning, aerospace control, and aerospace warning. NORAD’s website states that it monitors and reacts to unidentified, undesired, and unapproved air activities.
All traffic in North American airspace is monitored by NORAD around-the-clock, every day of the year. Its additional task is to follow Santa Claus.
History of the NORAD Santa tracker
When a little youngster saw a misprinted department store advertisement in a local newspaper and attempted to call Santa in 1955, NORAD began tracking Santa’s location.
“Instead of calling Santa, the child called the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD) Operations Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.” According to NORAD’s website. “Air Force Col. Harry Shoup, the commander on duty that night who answered the child s phone call, was quick to realize a mistake had been made and assured the child he was Santa.”
A duty officer was assigned to respond to the surge of children calling the agency to look for Santa. In 1958, CONAD changed its name to NORAD, carrying on the tradition.
What else can you do on the NORAD Tracks Santa website?
