Tragedy Averted: No Fatalities in Savannah Square Shooting, Police Confirm 11 Injured

At 3:25 p.m., Chief Lenny Gunther of the Savannah Police Department stated that the department possesses surveillance video.

Investigators have significant leads in the case, but they have not yet identified a single suspect despite their efforts.

Gunther stated that the police are searching for numerous different shooters.

They ranged in age from twenty to thirty-eight years old.

Investigators from the Savannah Police Department are looking into a shooting that took place on May 18 in Ellis Square and resulted in many people receiving gunshot wounds.

At eleven fifty-five minutes past the hour, many precincts responded to reports of gunfire in Ellis Square. The location of many injured people was found by the cops, and the incident was securely secured. The first assistance was administered, and several of the patients were taken to the Memorial Health University Medical Center for further treatment.

Injury treatment was administered to a total of eleven adult victims. There has not been a single fatality reported as a result of the incident as of yet.

Barnard Street and West Congress Lane were the intersections where the incident took place, according to the SPD.

A total of six adults were treated and taken to Memorial Hospital for further care. A seventh adult victim drove themself to the hospital after being transported there.

All of the victims appeared to have had injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
