Transport Secretary Louise Haigh ‘admits she LIED to police’ after claiming her phone had been stolen
According to a report, Louise Haigh, the transport secretary, acknowledged lying to police in 2014 after saying her phone had been stolen.
When the cabinet minister handed police a list of the things that had been taken from her during her 2013 mugging, she was lying about the gadget.
She then found out that her work cellphone had not been stolen, even though she had listed it in that list.
Haigh pleaded guilty to an offense related to the bungle and expressed regret for the error, according to Sky News.
She stated: “I entered a guilty plea on the counsel of my attorney, even though this was an honest error from which I gained nothing.
“I was a young woman and the experience was terrifying.”
