Travis Kelce absent from Taylor Swift’s final ever Eras Tour concert – but Kansas City Chiefs star has valid excuse

Travis Kelce, 35, had a reasonable explanation for missing Taylor Swift’s final Eras Tour performance.

His position as one of the top tight ends in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs provides an explanation.

Due to his Chiefs’ Sunday night football game versus the Los Angeles Chargers, Kelce was unable to attend the performance.

His girlfriend Swift’s final performance on her legendary Eras Tour coincided with the 8:20 p.m. Eastern primetime match.

Swift, a 14-time Grammy winner, had attended the previous six home games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, but this was the first game she had missed.

She performed for the last team in Vancouver at her sold-out tour show.

Since they started dating last summer, Kelce has seen the three-time Super Bowl champion play on the field 19 times and attended 14 of Swift’s Eras Tour performances.

It was Swift’s 149th tour date, and she performed in front of a crowded BC Place.

The 34-year-old’s Eras Tour began in Glendale, Arizona, in March 2023, and he has performed in 53 places worldwide.

According to the BBC, ticket sales for the concerts have exceeded $2 billion.

Swift will undoubtedly get to watch more Chiefs football games to watch the nine-time Pro Bowler play, as she is currently anticipated to take a vacation from performing.

But with only four weeks remaining after Sunday, the NFL regular season is coming to an end.

Based on their performance in Week 14, Kelce and the Chiefs defeated the Chargers 19–17, earning their 12th victory of the year.

During the game, Kelce recorded five receptions for 45 yards.

The Chiefs will travel to meet the Cleveland Browns in Week 15 following their game against the Chargers.

Swift might go to the game in Cleveland, where Kelce was raised.

After that, the Chiefs will play their final home game of the regular season against the Houston Texans before traveling to play the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos.

Then, in yet another Super Bowl run, Swift will be able to go to the home games of Kelce and the Chiefs.

With the top record in the AFC, the two-time defending Super Bowl champion team may be given a first-round bye and home-field advantage during the playoffs.
