Travis Kelce fans get surprise Christmas Day gift as Netflix drops Happy Gilmore 2 trailer minutes before historic game
A brief Christmas teaser for ADAM Sandler’s eagerly anticipated Happy Gilmore sequel was released.
When Sandler shared a teaser of Happy Gilmore online, it caused a stir. The NFL’s Christmas Day doubleheader was scheduled to begin on Netflix two hours prior to kickoff.
The 34-second video gave a sneak peek at a number of well-known actors who will co-star with Sandler in the 2025 Netflix movie.
AEW wrestler Maxwell Jacob Friedman, actress Margaret Qualley, global reggaeton artist Bad Bunny, and Travis Kelce, the Swiftees’ new favorite athlete and three-time Super Bowl champion, were among the celebrities fans saw in the brief film.
Actors Christopher McDonald and Julie Bowen, who will return to their roles as Virginia Venit and Shooter McGavin, respectively, were also featured in the video.
On his X account, Sandler posted the preview video with the remark, “Happy Chanukah! Happy Christmas! Cheers to the holidays! “And to everyone, happy Gilmore!”

The 1996 movie’s sequel was well received by fans, who shared, “This is a nice surprise! I will definitely see it.
“This ought to be in theaters!” exclaimed a second.
In contrast, someone else said, “They are really going to do wonders with this movie.”
“HG2?!!? A fourth added, “My entire childhood has been restored.”
The announcement that the comedy classic would get a sequel, however, did not make everyone as happy.
“Using the same gags from the first movie will spoil it! This isn’t going to be funny at all,” someone wrote.
Another responded, “This was a perfect example of a standalone movie that didn t need a sequel.”
“Please refrain from using activist s**t to ruin this film. “All we want is a comedy in the style of the 1990s,” another yelled.
DISASTROUS DEBUT
About an hour before the Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning Super Bowl champions, were scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Netflix, Sandler posted the teaser trailer on his X account.

Other people also complained about audio problems and intermittent interruptions in their streaming.
“Netflix fix this dude not doing this all day,” one viewer commented.
One more person said, “Audio issues on Netflix already,”
