Additionally, the Bearcats and Cornhuskers announced that they had rescheduled their originally scheduled game in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The teams were originally supposed to play in 2023, but now they will meet on September 10, 2033.
According to Cincinnati athletic director John Cunningham, “getting the 2025 season started at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is an incredible chance to showcase Bearcats football in one of the NFL’s most iconic venues.”
“This game is an exceptional chance that not only greatly boosts the program’s finances but also elevates the Bearcats to a national level of prominence.
“This matchup reflects our commitment to thinking big and maximizing possibilities for our program in the ever-changing college athletics landscape.”
This will be Nebraska and Cincinnati’s second meeting.
In 1906, the Cornhuskers defeated the Bearcats 41-0.
Scott Satterfield, the team’s second-year head coach, guided Cincinnati to a 5-7 season.
In contrast, Nebraska ended the 2024 season with a 6-6 record.
On December 28, they will play the Boston College Eagles in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl.
The Bearcats vs. Cornhuskers game in 2025 will take place at the home stadium of Cincinnati alumnus and nine-time Pro Bowler Kelce.
From 2008 to 2012, he performed there.
