Trevor Lawrence injury update with Jacksonville Jaguars star facing surgery after brutal Azeez Al-Shaair hit
TREVOR Lawrence was brutally hit by Azeez Al-Shaair, ending his season.
The quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars is scheduled to have shoulder surgery.
NFL reporter Ian Rapoport reports that Trevor Lawrence will have surgery to heal his severely injured AC joint.
Lawrence was hurt when he was hit illegally by Al-Shaair during the Jaguars’ game against the Houston Texans.
After the strike, a huge fight broke out, leaving Lawrence on the ground, moaning in agony while his colleagues fought around him.
Sports medicine specialist Jesse Morse described the extent of Lawrence’s injuries and any potential long-term issues.

“This was likely a type III AC sprain, the same injury that ended Anthony Richardson s rookie season,” wrote X.
“Lawrence sustaining the concussion just made it easier to decide to shut him down and prepare him for 2025.”
“He should have long-term issues with the shoulder post-surgery.”
The incident also caused Lawrence to sustain a concussion, which further prompted the Jaguars to terminate his season.
Al-Shaair will miss the next three games for his club, while Lawrence will miss the last five games of the season.
The NFL gave him a nasty letter and suspended him for the unlawful hit.
The hit is something that the NFL “considers unacceptable and a serious violation of the playing rules,” according to NFL Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan.
“Video shows you striking the head/neck area of Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence after he clearly goes down in a feet-first slide,” the letter continued.
“When you had the time and space to avoid making contact, you lead with your forearm and helmet and struck your opponent hard in the head/neck region.
“You started a fight after the illegal strike, which you intensified when you yanked an opponent to the ground by his facemask.
“You took off your helmet and reengaged with your opponent while walking down and across the field after the referee declared that you were disqualified for the hit and your unsportsmanlike behavior, which sparked another altercation close to the end zone.
