Troy Aikman pays emotional tribute to Fox NFL Sunday star Jimmy Johnson after sparking live TV health concerns
On social media, Troy Aikman made a strong statement about Jimmy Johnson of Fox NFL Sunday.
Following Aikman’s appearance on Monday Night Football last month, which alarmed NFL fans, the homage was given.
With three Super Bowl victories, Aikman and the Cowboys dominated the 1990s.
Johnson, who won two of those Super Bowls in a row, may also thank the 1989 No. 1 overall pick.
Using the hashtag “#winner” on social media, Aikman honored the former coach over the weekend.
On his Instagram story, Aikman shared a clip from a documentary on Johnson’s time with the Cowboys.

According to the video, several players had nothing but kind things to say about the 81-year-old.
In the documentary’s teaser, Michael Irvin, a former Dallas wide receiver, stated, “Coach Johnson was the best when it came to moving men.”
Aikmen even talked candidly about his former friend and mentor.
“There wasn’t a minute that I was around him the two years that I played for him, that I and everyone on the football team didn’t know who the head coach was,” he stated.
Aikman’s remarks against Johnson after a troubling performance during his call of the Baltimore Ravens’ Week 12 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on the road.
Fans remarked that the ESPN color announcer seemed to have bruised eyelids during the game.
Aikman’s eyelids appeared to have dried blood on them, and he had marks all around his eyes.
The Ravens vs. Chargers game was still called by the 58-year-old.
Aikman has persisted in analyzing the Monday primetime games with Joe Buck and has not provided any updates about the fans’ concerns.
Late in his career, the NFL Hall of Fame quarterback suffered from back and concussion ailments, forcing him to retire early.
Since the 2022 season, Aikman has served as an ESPN commentator.
Prior to that season, he and Buck both departed Fox for ESPN.
After his NFL coaching career ended in 2000, Johnson joined Fox NFL Sunday.
