Ultra-rare 1981 Porsche 911 with 3litre engine so well preserved it’s ‘as new out of the box’ on sale for huge price
An extremely rare Porsche 911 with a dazzling motor that has hardly been used in its 43-year lifespan is up for sale for a hefty price.
Since it was manufactured in 1981, the cherished vehicle has hardly been touched. Its original owner only drove 2,400 miles before putting it in storage.
Because of its immaculate condition, the black Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 SC is described as appearing to have been taken straight out of the box.
The present owner bought the vehicle four years ago, but he hasn’t used it much and has now decided it’s time to sell it because of his advanced age.
The first owner bought it for about $20,000. It is regarded as one of the most iconic sports vehicles of the last 50 years.
When the car is put up for sale more than forty years later, it is anticipated to bring in a significantly higher price.
Because of its powerful body and interior upgrades, the three-liter 1981 model has more horsepower than earlier iterations.
Porsche debuted the 911 model in 1964, but the 1981 Super Carrera ‘SC’ model, which was especially appealing and well-liked by auto enthusiasts, quickly overtook it.
Before putting the car in storage, its original owner traveled about 2,400 miles in three years.
Then, four years ago, it was sold to another enthusiastic driver who chose not to push it to the limit and only managed to log an additional 390 miles.
Humbert & Ellis Ltd. in Daventry, Northants, is now scheduled to sell the vehicle for a third time later this month.
“To find an example of this marque with such low miles represents an incredible buying opportunity for collectors, investors, and drivers alike,” stated Jonathan Humbert, auctioneer at Humbert & Ellis.

The date of the auction is November 28.
A few weeks ago, a rare 1990 Porsche 911 in egg yolk yellow was put up for sale.
The amazing 90s sports vehicle had a distinctive finish, a 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine, a six-speed manual gearbox, and a black leather interior.
According to early estimates, the car would fetch an incredible 850K at auction.

History of the Porsche 911
The iconic sports automobile, which is 61 years old, has been a favorite among drivers for many years.
At the 1963 Frankfurt International Motor Show, a brand-new Porsche model—later dubbed the first 911—was displayed.
It wasn’t until September 1964, a year later, that the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen started producing the automobile in full.
