University of Michigan student hit by vehicle on Ann Arbor campus

FOX 2, Ann Arbor, Mich.On Wednesday morning, a car struck a student on campus, sending him to the hospital.

The 24-year-old student was struck just before 11:30 a.m. on N. University between S. Thayer and Fletcher, according to Ann Arbor police.

A car crashed into a pedestrian on Woodward Avenue in Detroit’s Midtown, killing the victim.

Following the collision, the student was sent to a hospital with severe injuries. Due to neck injuries, the driver, a 72-year-old lady, was also sent to the hospital.

There is an investigation going on.

Following the collision, Westbound N. University was closed for a few hours. Since then, the road has reopened.

The Ann Arbor Police are the source of this information.
